10 reasons why you should switch to Google slides
  1. Adding images to a presentation is a cinch.
It can be done within the slides app- In this example I am searching for an image of the Space shuttle , by clicking on insert image the side menu bar provides me with the options to search the web, my computer or my drive and insert it directly into the slide. Easy

You can also add content from the web or from your drive in the same way.

2. Slides designs presentation features for you.
With the  use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) . By clicking in the explore icon on the right hand side AI suggests a number of differing presentation slides and you can choose the one you want. Most of the designs are much smarter than I could do myself. Time saver

3. Searching and adding videos is easy in  slides

Simply click insert video and search,by URL, search or from your drive-  inspect then click add.

The videos are embedded smartly into the presentation.
4. You can voice record  your text using the record tool.

This tool improves accessibility for all groups of learners. To find out more click here
Captions created automatically from your audio
If you turn captions on, Google Slides will use the audio from your microphone to automatically create captions of what you say. These captions will display in real time at the bottom of your screen to all audience members watching the presentation. This will work for local presentations and for presentations over video conferencing software, where captions will show on the shared screen.
5. Easy  definitions of words and understanding of concepts .

These can be explored using the define and explore tools and definitions can be inserted directly in -great for ‘keywords’ banks and literacy skills.
